December 22nd, 2011Hello Porsche Center Locks. It’s now time to do those ‘74 RSRs, 934 and 935 builds properly!

These are en route to drilling and Drive Pin installation, and final coating.
Look for these in the marketplace in 2012.

new wheel prototyping.
December 2nd, 2011Yes, I am the world’s worst blogger. Despite the excellent example John Glynn sets, I simply forget about this tool.
So, once again I attempt to change my ways and offer you all this- a short clip of our 18inch RSR Center Lock wheel prototyping:
This wheel is being developed as an alternative to the (now very old) original Center Lock wheels on vintage Porsches and will be constructed as a 3-piece wheel (the part above is the narrow version for cars with 9/11 inch flares) in the manner of our popular 17inch Fuchs-style 3-piece line.
The new wheel will debut on the Zuffenhaus Mary Stuart RSR project, a very interesting build that has been discussed/featured here on the Pelican Parts forums.
This project will utilize quite a few Zuffenhaus products; the aforementioned wheels, Center Lock conversion kit, 2.8RSR Caliper kit, 911RS Steering Wheel with Backdate Hub, 911RS Horn Button, and custom reproduction Mary Stuart RSR carbon fiber body panels.
Testing, again.
March 5th, 2011Test for functionality.
Techno Classica 2010
April 10th, 2010Well, it’s 3:52am on the last day of the Techno Classica 2010, and we (the US Zuffenhaus team) are having to depart a day early, leaving Europe in the capable hands of Leonard and Daan Stolk, our friends and counterparts in the Netherlands.
It’s been a productive week.
For those of you who haven’t been to Essen for Techno Classica, it is a huge vintage car event, full of Barrett Jackson-esque sales and PRI-style trade displays, with a swap meet and vendor hall thrown in. The Messe in Essen in which it is held is an extrodinarily large collection of indoor spaces, impressive by itself.
We’ve made an impression after our second visit to this event. Good discussions with our peers and larger entities in this field, and hands-on product introductions to the enthusiasts in the europen market, with solid critcal review from all of the above. We’ve also happily assisted our european arm, Zuffenhaus Europe, and TwinSpark Racing get their new exclusive relationship with WEVO off to a great start with consumer education and demonstration of Hayden’s quality products.
As my wife and I pack for our flights out of AMS this morning, I’m reflecting on our week, our intentions within our market, and the international community of Porsche enthusiasts to which we happily belong. This week has been one filled with great times with good friends, excellent evenings with our circle of enthusiasts, and awesome Porsche content filled days.
Try to make Techno Classica in 2011 if you can – it’s very much worth the effort!
