Well, it’s 3:52am on the last day of the Techno Classica 2010, and we (the US Zuffenhaus team) are having to depart a day early, leaving Europe in the capable hands of Leonard and Daan Stolk, our friends and counterparts in the Netherlands.
It’s been a productive week.
For those of you who haven’t been to Essen for Techno Classica, it is a huge vintage car event, full of Barrett Jackson-esque sales and PRI-style trade displays, with a swap meet and vendor hall thrown in. The Messe in Essen in which it is held is an extrodinarily large collection of indoor spaces, impressive by itself.
We’ve made an impression after our second visit to this event. Good discussions with our peers and larger entities in this field, and hands-on product introductions to the enthusiasts in the europen market, with solid critcal review from all of the above. Solid market repsonse and much enthusiasm was recieved for Zuffenhaus Products 2.8RSR Calipers, and the ZP Steering Wheel line is right at home amongst Europe’s best classic sports cars.
We’ve also happily assisted our european arm, Zuffenhaus Europe, and TwinSpark Racing get their new exclusive relationship with WEVO off to a great start with consumer education and demonstration of Hayden’s quality products.
As my wife and I pack for our flights out of AMS this morning, I’m reflecting on our week, our intentions within our market, and the international community of Porsche enthusiasts to which we happily belong. This week has been one filled with great times with good friends, excellent evenings with our circle of enthusiasts, and awesome Porsche content filled days.
Try to make Techno Classica in 2011 if you can – it’s very much worth the effort!
